The kids who work on Rock Creek Network News (RCNN) from Colin's school went to Microsoft Studios to tour the facility and film part of their March newscast.
We had a green room all to ourselves while we waited.
This is the sound stage. The background is painted different colors depending on what they are filming. Our tour guide said that there were more than 3,000 layers of paint on the screen.
Each student had a different responsibility, such as anchor, camera operator, director or producer. Colin was a producer and his job was to run the teleprompter for the anchors to read from. His buddy Nathan was one of the news anchors. The kids did a fantastic job creating the show that they would later broadcast at school. Perhaps a future journalist in our midst!
