This winter was the sixth snowiest winter on record at Sea-Tac. We probably faired even worse out here in Maple Valley. It snowed two weeks before Christmas and didn't melt off until New Year's. Just to toy with us vacation weary parents, it snowed the day before the kids were going back to school after the holiday break. It then snowed repeatedly in January, February and March! Not only did we have a white Christmas, we had a white St. Patrick's Day as well. Most of us were indeed ready for the start to spring. All that snow did provide for some great winter fun, however!

Christmas was especially fun this year, mostly because of all the snow. We didn't do too much in honor of keeping it low key. Colin and I built a handsome looking gingerbread house, failing to resist the temptation of eating some of the sidewalk and roofing materials. We missed the actual lighting of the tree at Westlake, but visited the following week when Santa Butch was at the WSU store posing for holiday pictures. On Christmas Day we spent alot of time playing in the snow. There was sledding, snowman making and even an igloo building.

This is looking great! I like how you did the side-by-side picures. You're going to have to teach me! Love the picture of the snow and your outside lights. Very cool!
