I am a scientist!

This year Colin entered the Rock Creek Elementary School Science Fair. His project involved testing different methods of eliminating tears when chopping an onion. He tried different myths like lighting a candle, chewing gum or bread and even wearing a mask. The only ways he found successful were putting the onion in the freezer first, which worked a little, and wearing swim goggles. The goggles worked the best, thus concluding it is the gas emitted from the onion when cut that causes a person to cry. Even though his display wasn't the most elaborate, he attracted a lot of attention from passers by, admittingly the parents. Colin was also awarded a ribbon for his achievement. Fortunately Dad was there to help him run his booth, as Mom was stuck in the school kitchen volunteering to help serve pizza to all the attendees.
