For Spring break we went out to the beach @ Westport and enjoyed some beautiful summer-like weather. We were a bit unprepared for the warm sunshine because we had packed for the cool, spring weather we had been having. The three of us hung out by the water, walked the dog, relaxed in the hot tub and sat out on the deck absorbing all that Vitamin D. Saturday night we enjoyed dinner at the Islander and Sunday we dined on salmon while watching the sun set.
Matt had to go back home on Sunday night, but on Monday our friends Lori, Alec & Hannah joined us in the fun. While the moms either jawed or caught up on reading, the kids played in the waves and at the playground.
When the sun and salty air was too much for the kiddos, they took to video game playing and giant fort building. This was fine with the womenfolk, as it gave them a chance to drink wine and scrapbook.
Plans are already in the works to do this again next year. And, thanks, Lori, for the use of your brilliant photography!
